TO YOU… FROM BLUE… AN album by robert luetmer

Amy Luetmer, Trevor J. Brown and Inherent Dream Records, a division of Inherent Dream Production Company, are excited to announce the album “To You… From Blue…”, an album by the late Robert Luetmer. The album will be released on Wednesday May 22nd 2024 and will be released on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music. 

Robert “Bob” Luetmer was born in 1961 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota and was raised on a dairy farm in Meire Grove, Minnesota, along with his 7 siblings. He graduated from Melrose High School and went to the U of M in Minneapolis where he studied journalism. Bob worked various jobs in the cities and met Amy through mutual friends. Eventually, the two married in February of 1993 in Zimmerman, Minnesota. Together they built their family of 5 children… Nicholas, Anthony, Vincent, Franklin and Isabella. Bob’s two passions were his family and music. If he was not immersed in a board game or watching a movie with Amy and the kids, you could find him strumming a guitar or noodling on the piano. Throughout the years, Robert recorded music under his name as a solo artist and also played in a variety of bands, including Elsie’s Room, Vicious Circle, Plowed, Club Guano and Crunchie Undies. 

Amy Luetmer worked for Trevor J. Brown’s parents for a time in the 90’s and that is where Amy and Trevor met, and then from there Trevor met Robert. Throughout the years, they all kept in contact and Robert and Amy were the first people Trevor reached out to regarding a musical project called Food & Song. Inspired by the concept of the “Cities 97 Samplers”, Trevor’s company Inherent Dream worked with local bands from around the midwest and put together a compilation album of music and then sold it online via Bandcamp. Then in turn, all profits were donated to local food shelves. To date, the four editions of Food & Song have raised over $1,000 for local food shelves in Minnesota. 

Unfortunately, Robert passed away from illness in 2021. He was only 60 years old. And while he recorded a variety of music over the years, it was never properly released digitally. Crafted as a passion project of Brown’s, he approached Amy in early 2024 to see if there would be a way to share Bob’s music with the world and preserve his musical legacy. Amy agreed to proceed with the project and “To You… From Blue…” was born. The album title includes the word “blue”, as this was one of Bob’s nicknames.

With all of the royalties collected from streaming, Amy will be donating all profits to a variety of non-profit organizations including The Trevor Project, which is focused on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth. This is an organization close to Amy’s heart, as Amy lost her dear Franklin in November of 2022. May 22nd was Franklin’s birthday. 

“To You… From Blue…” by Robert Luetmer features 11 unique tracks, ranging in genres from rock and roll, alternative and acoustic. The tracklisting features the song titles Not The Oil (In Your Machine), California, Don’t Call My Mom, Tear Me Down, Home, Follow The Leader, You Gotta Stop Walking On This Heart, Days Of Our Madcapping, St. Paul The Addicted, The Worlds Most Dangerous Song and One Bird.
